The Day is Done - Sat
Hi Everyone
It has been a long day and all the team are tired, but I am sure they will feel better now everyone is with their host families and settled ... I know I am. What a welcome shower!
We got to Gyula at about 11.30pm unloaded some of the kit and some of the team. The rest went onto Uj Akli and the Akli and did similar.
Just had a text from Andrew that the car got across okay and went straight to the village as they would not have caught us up.
Tomorrow we go to the services in our respective villages and then to the Village Day in Gyula for the afternoon. We will no doubt be asked to do some songs on the stage ... we are well prepared. Weather may play a part as there have been heavy thunderstorms with more forecast for tomorrow ... at least it clears the air for a while.
The late afternoon is the big task of setting up the medics and school ready for a "hit the ground running" start on Monday. The team will be refreshed by then.
Thanks for all your comments and prayers - we know they are all answered and despite it being a tough crossing it could have been worse ... the whole team is now in the villages. Praise the Lord.
Please pray for good initial contacts and for a smooth set up ready for Monday.
More tomorrow.
Yours in Christ
Ian
PS Mom, Freya and I send our love to Toby

Bless you - and we'll be praying for you all at the services today.
Greetings to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.
Love to everyone
Philip
Glad you are all where you're supposed to be at last. I thing God must have wanted the team to bond especially well since he gave you all so much time together in a confined space yesterday :) Our thoughts and prayers are with you today. Love Emma and the boys xx
PS loved hearing about the song you chose to sing at the border!
Philip shared the news of your eventual safe arrival with the 9.30 congregation! And do tell Michael that Francoise has just finished reading the blog in the church office - and she feels fully informed!
Hope you have enjoyed worshipping the Lord together as much as we did here in Claygate.
Give my love to Zoe and her other two 'blonde' friends! Thanks to them, when I arrived 5 minutes late for my AV duty this morning, Brian Howells asked if I'd gone to the wrong church and Philip thought this was highly amusing!
Will continue to uphold you all in my prayers.
Love Janet x
I hope that you have all had a productive day and are ready for tomorrow! I shall be praying for good weather (not too hot - not too wet!) so that everything can run smoothly. I will pray for good health and safety for you all, and also for brotherly love, patience and kindness in all that you do, and with all who you work with.
with my love and prayers
Jackie B
