The Day is Done - Friday

What a great evening we have just had at the Akli social. Most of the team were there, including the medics who came straight from work. The team did us proud on stage with solos from Jonathan Tarcy, Fiona Darling and Aeona Winchcombe. Aeona and Freya Winchcombe the did a duet followed by Simon (Dad) making a trio for their 3rd number. The Howe's stole the show with an hilarious sketch where Lucy teaches ballet; Andy in a ballet dress is something to behold (look out for evidence on You Tube. The team did 3 songs with "Doe a Deer" being the finale with actions too.
.... more later: just cannot keep my eyes open.

We hope that the weather is proving co-operative so that you can all have a truly well-earned day of rest and refreshment today. It has been great to read of
the team's amazing achievements despite all the ways in which the rain must have made things so much more difficult (presuming that the road has still not been patched up, the drive between Akli and Gyula must have been even more of a nightmare than usual). We'll be with you in spirit at tomorrow's services which will surely be again a wonderful climax to the week. And then the drive back to Budapest - may you have a sail (metaphorically) across the border to make up for the horrendous outward crossing and have a good meal without anyone losing their passport (as I did!) and a welcome return to the creature comforts of the Novotel.
You've all done a terrific job in the Lord's service!
With our love
Andrew and Sarah
PS I failed to send a card to Attila, Kriosztina and Dora- would you please make sure that someone gives them my love and tells them thet they are ever in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks! a

Hope you are all enjoying your rest day. Any chance that someone could email me a photo of Andy in that tutu as I am looking for new photos of our 20s group to put on the Church Road notice board?!
Bumped into Emma Cope in The Parade this morning and it was good to hear a bit more news from her about the work of the medics.
Will be praying for you all to have a good last day tomorrow and a safe and event free crossing back into Hungary.
Love to you all, Janet x
